“Bartenders before 7pm awesome! Weird no auto gratuity applied before 7pm… if there was we didn’t notice and tipped an extra 25%. Brian was the best!! Came back in the evening for a couple more drinks after a mothership show…..Bill now has auto gratuity, place was empty we were the only ones inside.. Only negative was the county solo guitar player.,, before 7pm…we tried to tip him a $10 Canadian because that’s all...”
“San Jac Saloon is a great bar if you want a lively, upbeat night out. The place has a fun energy, and it’s easy to see why it stays busy—good music, a friendly crowd, and a solid staff that keeps drinks coming without long waits. Prices feel fair for the area, and the bartenders were quick and personable. It can get loud later in the evening, but that’s part of the experience. Overall, a strong spot for hanging...”
“Great love music venue on 6th St. Bands were good without being over loud.”
“I heard the live music from outside and was welcomed in by Brian, the bartender. He created such a friendly environment and I have never seen such attentive service, even giving me some local food recommendations. Not to mention the musician, Bron Burbank had a beautiful voice and talent. I’ll be back on my next visit!”
“This place drew us in early afternoon with live music. Classic country bar with a chilled vibe. Bartenders were extremely friendly, loved chatting to them. Beer and spirit selection is great too. I only drink local so went for the local beers on tap and introduced to Still Austin bourbon (best bourbon around IMO). Went here several nights in the end and enjoyed listening to the Carr Sisters. A must visit in Austin”
