Inspector remarks
Completed 1b routine inspection for bar area of establishment. There is a taco shop inside establishment with separate staff than the Slacker's bar. Tacos Regio is the name of the taco shop that has a separate kitchen area that is actively open handling and cooking food. Spoke with bar manager Mike about possibly upgrading the license of the entire establishment, Mexican restaurant included, to a risk 2 license. Spoke with manager about possibly having the Mexican restaurant obtain their own separate license. Will have another inspector on phone to assist with Spanish translation for the manager of the taco shop. Update: Management concluded with inspector that they would like to have their license upgraded from a risk 1b to a risk 2 license to include Tacos El Regio. Spoke with management from both entities to confirm this upgrade. An upgrade license application will be made out to Slacker's.

Score grading: 90+ excellent, 80–89 needs improvement, under 80 failing. Inspection types include routine, re-inspection (a re-visit after a low score), and pre-opening inspections. Inspectors check temperature controls, hand-washing, surface sanitation, employee health, food protection from contamination, and proper handling of leftovers. A low score will typically trigger a re-inspection within 10–30 days.
